Dr Steinbock is an internationally recognized expert of the multipolar world. He has senior affiliations at India China and America Institute (US), Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (China) and EU Center (Singapore). As a Fulbright scholar, he has cooperated with Stern School of Business (NYU), Columbia School of Business, Harvard Business School. He has served on many media advisory boards (Fortune, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, McKinsey, 1to1 Media).

Leading Chinese Think-Tank SIIS

Dr Steinbock has lectured at Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) since 2005. He has the highest regard for the prestigious think-tank that advises the Chinese central government and the city of Shanghai. India China America Institute

Dr Jagdish N. Sheth the founder of India China America Institute (ICA) and India's Prime Minister Modi. Dr Steinbock served a decade as ICA's head of research in international business. In India, Dr Steinbock has cooperated with Gateway House Indian Council on Global Relations.

Realism in International Affairs

Dr Steinbock has analyzed issues of international affairs in the American Foreign Policy Interests, which is edited by Dr. George Schwab. It is the journal of the prestigious National Committee on American Foreign Policy whose chairman is Paul Volcker, former chair of the Fed. NCAFP was founded by Dr. Hans Morgenthau, the pioneer of realism in international politics. To Dr Steinbock, multipolar realism is the key to international affairs in early 21st century.

Toward an Inclusive UN

Dr Steinbock's dear friend, the late Martti Ahtisaari (1937-2023), the 10th president of Finland, a UN diplomat and mediator, with the eighth secretary-general Ban Ki-Moon of the UN. Unlike many, Dr Steinbock believes in the role of the UN, but in a multipolar, inclusive UN.

Roubini Global/EconoMonitor

Among other major media outlets, Dr Steinbock's commentaries were regularly published in Prof Nouriel Roubini's EconoMonitor, a leading global economic hub. Prof Roubini was one of the few who foresaw the coming of the 2008 crisis.

The Economist: Search for Growth

Dr Steinbock's interview and comments on global growth prospects amid monetary easing and quantitative easing in the West. His economic projections are defined by multipolarity, not by the interests of the Global North.

Contrarian But Valid Projections of 2008/9

Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, Fall 2008. It was in this SIIS Conference that Dr Steinbock made the prediction that US unemployment would not decrease to its pre-crisis level until the mid-2010s. While highly controversial at the time, it proved valid.

Fulbright Scholar at New York University and Columbia University

As Senior Fulbright scholar, Dr Steinbock was affiliated with Stern School of Business of New York University and Columbia Graduate School of Business, two leading global academic organizations. He continues to lecture in the NYU's Global EMBA program and remains affiliate in Columbia.

No Equality Without Gender Equality

"There is no real equality without full gender equality," Dr Steinbock says. He grew up in Finland whose national assembly became the first parliament worldwide to embrace full gender equality in 1906 - a decade before its national independence.

A major advocate of the civil rights movement in America, Dr Steinbock believes that these rights have been suppressed in the Global South, due to centuries of colonialism, the Cold War and the post 9/11-wars.

Genocide and Modernity

Elie Wiesel and Primo Levi, Holocaust witnesses of the 20th century. He promoted Levi's "Se questo e un uomo" when it was ignored in the West; and he got to know Wiesel in New York City. "Preceded by colonial genocides, Judeocide is the dark side of progress and modernity," he says.
